October 2023 - January 2024

Curated by Ekow Eshun, renowned writer and curator, Like Paradise, brought together artworks that situate people of colour within natural landscapes. Through their individual perspectives, the artists gathered were offered a reclaiming of the natural world as a site of affirmation. Works in the exhibition are lyrical, poetic and personal. By situating people of colour in dialogue with the pastoral, Like Paradise invoked the natural world as a terrain of the imagination as much as a physical territory, a space shaped by multiple perspectives on culture, history, and identity. The group show included work by artists such as Frank Bowling, Hurving Anderson, Osman Yousefzada, Jade Montserrat, Sola Olulode and Miranda Forrester.
